YOU DON’T NEED THE STUFF TO KEEP THE MEMORY!

This is a photo of a vintage measuring cup I purchased at our local 5 & 10 with the creaky wooden floors when I was about seven years old. It was the first gift I had ever purchased on my own. My grandmother loved it and kept it on the windowsill in her kitchen. After she passed, I took it and kept it on my kitchen windowsill. Over the years it had chipped a bit and the top piece was glued together. A couple of years ago, I updated my kitchen and the piece no longer fit with my décor. I could not donate or sell it due to the condition, so I said goodbye and threw it in the trash! Guess what? I don’t miss the item, but I have the picture and the memory is still in my heart!
